The effects...
The build up of moss and organic matter on your roof can seriously effect not only the ascetic appeal of your property but also have damaging effects caused by damp, blocked gutters and even damage roof tiles reducing the roofs overall lifespan.

What is your approach?
A site survey is carried out to determine the age and quality of your tiles. Every roof is individual and needs to be treated as such.
The best method of cleaning your roof is decided based on this survey.
This may involve gently scraping the moss off and disposing of all organic matter.
Finally a biocide chemical is sprayed to kill the potential of future unwanted growth.
How extensive is your cleaning?
Once all moss is removed we apply a gentle wash to the roof... it reveals the original colour of the tiles and finally a biocide is sprayed to stop future growth.
All gutters are then cleaned out and unblocked.
The results truly are amazing!

What chemical do you use... and why?
DDAC Didecyldimethtylammonium Chloride or BAC 50 Benzalkonium chloride or Sodium Hypochlorite
Only products that have HSE accreditation can legally be used for the control of Moss growth. To avoid breaking the law users must ensure that the product being used is approved and applied correctly. (Run off into nearby water sources is illegal).
DDAC and some BAC 50 products carry this accreditation but many other far cheaper alternatives do not.
The goal is effective removal of unwanted biofilm such as moss, algae’s and lichen. Resulting in continued protection moving forward, and tremendous curb appeal.

How much will it cost?
Please see below impartial information from an independent website.
Note: The cost may vary due to roof accessibility and height.

How long will my roof stay moss free?
This depends on a number factors, including the positioning of your roof, location to the coast etc. However we recommend after 3 years spraying a biocide chemical to prevent future growth of organic matter. This is the most cost effective way to keep your roof moss free and obtain the best protection.
